Education, Connection & Action: The Keys to Success in Real Estate.
There are three components to our success philosophy at the National Club of Real Estate Investors (NCREI). Some of you who attend our monthly meetings know more about it because we often take time discussing them. But for many others who may wonder about our trinity of Education, Connection and Action, I thought this would be a good time to illuminate.[googmonify]4494413162:right:250:250[/googmonify]
Without a doubt education is the most fundamental element of success in both business and life in general. The word comes from Latin educatus meaning to rear or help to grow or bring self sufficiency through nurturing. It also means to draw out something hidden, latent, or reserved. Well, we do all of the above at NCREI meetings, seminars and trainings. We help you to tap into your latent potential. We nurture you to gain self reliance and an ability to operate at high levels. This is what gives me the most joy in life, helping others to get enlightened and realize how powerful they truly are.
The second component of our trinity is connection. The root of this word is from Latin, conectere, meaning to establish a communication. To me it implies the very essence of networking, a word or concept we hear almost everyday. What does networking really mean?
To fulfill someone's needs in exchange for yours in order to create a mutually rewarding working relationship. You'd be surprised to know how this very powerful component of success is so easily overlooked.
I see people spend thousands of dollars in passive advertising campaigns but overlook the single most effective way to achieve financial success, looking someone in the eye, shaking his/her hand and ask for what's needed and wanted. Ask them what they need and see if you can mutually fulfill each other's needs. It's that simple and yet extremely potent! We have provided a great forum at NCREI for you. It enables you to connect with friendly like-minded people who are looking for someone just like you to help each other get to the top. So, come and join us in our monthly meetings and see for yourself the power of connection. Remember it's not always about what you can learn from the speakers, it's about your ability to connect with others and learn from your fellow investors. I've been told of numerous occasions when our students made a lot of money in joint ventures working with other investors that they met at a chance meeting at the club.
The third component of our trinity is action. It comes from Middle English and partly Latin, actus, meaning doing or state of existence rather than possibility. So, when we say action, we mean manifesting your objectives and dreams instead of day dreaming or wishful thinking. You see, you can get all the education in the world, all the connections in the universe, but if you fail to act (do), you will not get anywhere in life. In all my years as an educator, mentor and a national speaker, I have yet to see an educated person succeed without having the courage to act upon his/her plans.
Courage is an act of the heart and not of the mind. Most people are involved in doing various activities which they mistake for action. But action has purpose and direction where activity is aimless and random. Action requires courage where activity is a mental process of analysis. So, when I say action, I mean BUY A PROPERTY. It means you sign a purchase contract and own it. That's how you learn life lessons - in the trenches. You will learn infinitely more in owning one little rental property than you ever will out of years of passive education. So, roll up your sleeves and invest in real estate. If you don't have a lot of money, do not despair, as there are many opportunities, in and out of state that require very little out of pocket investment, but they all need your courage to break the boundaries of fear and step into the realm of doing instead of thinking.
I am here to help you achieve your life's dreams. Take advantage of my offer and contact me anytime. Wishing you great success and joy in 2008.
