Food For Thought - July 2013
In the discipline of real estate investing, the most common complaint I hear from both new and seasoned investors is procrastination and inaction! Many use the excuse of NO MONEY and lack of capital as their number one reason for being stuck! It is just indecisiveness and inaction talking; and is just plain not true. The number one reason for failure in life is the FEAR OF ACTION. Many are simply too afraid to try. Think of this, anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new. STEP UP, unless you try you won't make mistakes and until make mistakes occur... you'll never learn anything new.
The greatest sadness in life is the waste of a life. Playing it safe in the comfort zone and winding up with nothing more than a gold watch and regret with what might have been.
If you have a problem which seems to persist, know this: You cannot solve it with the same mind that created it.
Change your mind and look at it from a different angle. Tackling your problem with a new level of consciousness will result in overcoming the obstacle quickly and effectively.
To maintain your sanity and joy in life, look for what is, and not for what you think life should be. Insisting the world owes you a favor or people change to accommodate your wishes is a hallmark of folly, immaturity, and ignorance. Until you find happiness with who you are and acknowledge that it is you whom has created your present, you will never be happy. No matter what you surround yourself with or how hard you try.
Learn to accept things as they are and allow events to unfold as they might. Your job should be to say yes to life and celebrate the happy times and find gratitude in the lessons of the sad times and grow. Learn from yesterday, live for today, and hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop questioning, exploring, growing and changing. Life, like a river, flows. Stay in the middle of the current to gain proper balance and perspective.
If you want to know whether or not you know a subject well try to explain it in simple terms. If you can't do so, then you don't understand it well enough. Until you learn and assimilate a subject well, you'll never be able to apply it successfully.
At my real estate club, you'll learn the business from the best and the brightest while you get to grow as a person through my personal development insight.
