Have Faith in Real Estate
Have you had enough of real estate? Are you completely disillusioned about the state of our economy? Well, you are not alone. In fact, it’s not just real estate that has us spinning on our own axis at dizzying speeds. It’s our collective attitude about the state of our country, and to a lesser degree, the world. The catch word of today is “confusion and uncertainty” instead of “carpe diem” during the Baroque in the 17th century Europe. No one wants to seize anything unless it’s a bagful of cash and a free trip to Hawaii.
[googmonify]4494413162:right:250:250[/googmonify]In this bizarre setting, it’s easy to pack your bags and leave the real estate island. After all, it’s easier to jump on the next bandwagon than to stay in one place and fight. Yes, I know you’re getting hit by slings and arrows of outrageous fortune, but welcome to life on planet earth! The good news is that your future doesn’t have to be the same as your past. You know you can change your future by decisions you make today. So, one decision you should make now is to have faith in real estate. Detach yourself from it if you wish but do not remove yourself from the picture. There’s a big difference between detachment and removal. As an example, you can be detached from your children but still be in their lives as a loving and effective parent. But this detachment is not the same as being gone or removed from their lives. Removal is when a father walks out on his children which is a very irresponsible and potentially destructive act indeed.
Remember that things are never as bad or as good as they appear to be. This is a maxim of life. There are always silver linings. There are always possibilities. It’s easy to get out of balance when you’re stoned with information. Bruised and sobbing we pray for better things in life but no help is forthcoming until we realize another maxim of life. Wherever you are is where you need to be at this stage of life. I know some of you might resist this notion but we do really deserve our station in life. I know it sounds so cold blooded but don’t blame me, as I am just a messenger. Paradoxically, and lucky for us, we’re not condemned to this station. We can change it but we must accept ownership of it first.
Every change has a price tag and the price is not the same for everyone. If the price seems to high, then accept your position and come to term with it. If not anything else, I am confident you will at least achieve a peace of mind. But if you are willing to change, sky is the limit. There is nothing you cannot do.
My suggestion is that you maintain and improve upon your knowledge about what’s transpiring in today’s real estate market. Learn all about the new and innovative ways investors are making money in real estate. You don’t need to buy expensive materials or even attend mind-twisting, brain-frying boot camps. Just attend affordable seminars and network with like minded people that would infuse you with consistent inflow of knowledge. All this would come quite handy when the market makes a recovery and guess who is standing in front of the line reaping the benefits of his / her perseverance.
I have recommitted myself to my philosophy of affordable education. I want to teach and touch as many lives as I can in a positive way. Soon, we’ll have nightly classes covering a wide variety of subjects. Some are real estate related while others that address business and life issues. I still want to cause a major paradigm shift in how we look at education.
I look forward to seeing you at our next club meeting where I plan to teach about evaluating and profiting form income producing properties. This first section alone is worth the price of admission. Check our NCREI website for more information.
Best regards,
