Is Life Predestined?

There are three main schools of thought.

  1. All is predestined, meaning your fate is predetermined, regardless of your actions.
  2. Life is free will, meaning you determine your fate by your decisions. I find it hard to believe either is true based on personal experiences and extensive research I’ve done. So, let’s examine the third option.
  3. Life is a combination of your decisions and universal laws. Setting aside birth and death, which no one really knows how to explain and what category they fall into, this option says that you take the first step (initial decision) and the rest will obey the laws of Nature, God, Divine, Supreme Being, etc. Your initial action will set off a chain of cause and effect events, which you will have to face along your journey.

So, if you want to change your life, take the first step. Be bold! Begin it by making a decision and taking action. You'll then cause the unfolding of events that you can face and successfully deal with. Your job in this world is twofold: initiate, create, and begin something. After that you need to embrace the challenges and say YES to whatever happens! Say YES to life and ask for more challenges because you want to grow by staying engaged.

Here is a short excerpt from a famous poem by Oriah Mountain Dreamer called "The Invitation."

I want to know if you can live with failure, yours and mine, and still stand at the edge of the lake and shout to the silver of the full moon, 'Yes.'

Along my journey, I have found out that I’m here to learn, to love and leave a legacy. You all can do the same and even greater things. This, by the way, was what Jesus said in the Bible: “Even the least among you can do what I have done and more!”

So, put yourself on the path of becoming a student for life. Gain knowledge, but more importantly, learn the art of effective communication. Great leaders can communicate, for good or evil, but they can convey their thoughts concisely and with a lot of feeling. Remember, the quality of your life is determined by the quality of your communication. So do your best to enhance your ability to become an effective communicator and you will experience greater success and happiness in life.

Sam
