The Most Important Components of Success for Real Estate Investors
I've been involved in education for a better part of my life. I think life is about loving, learning and leaving a legacy. During the last two decades I have devoted my time to learning, writing, researching, teaching, and consulting. Therefore, I can tell you with confidence why so many people fail in business in general and more specifically in real estate.
The beat that you hear within yourself is your connection to your divine purpose on earth.
"If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music which he hears, however measured and far away."
Henry David Thoreau
Within each of us there is voice that whispers, “Take the risks, pursue your dreams, live life to the fullest. As long as you’re not hurting anyone else, why not?” Then outside of us there are voices that scream, “Don’t be a fool, you are going to fail, just be like everyone else. If you do what you want you’re being selfish and hurting others.”
You are already positioned to escape to a higher plane of performance...
“On the way to your goal, you’ll discover that you know more than you know you know.”
---Sam Sadat
Don’t bog down in getting prepared for making a quantum leap in your life. Whatever else you need will come as you go. You could make a career out of laying the groundwork to do something big in real estate. You need to understand that don’t “prepare” for a quantum leap. You make it, and then fine tune your approach. You go for it, instead of forever getting ready so you will be sure to get it right. “Zero defects” is a hostile concept in the pursuit of your goals.
No energy is ever wasted in this perfect universe...
Our doubts are our traitors
And make us lose the good we oft might win
By fearing to attempt.
- Shakespeare
Too often we fail to act for the fear of failure. By failing to act we are acting to fail. Success is not doing the extraordinary things; it's rather doing the ordinary things extraordinarily well. The fact is that success can only be achieved when we have a clear vision toward which we are moving one step at a time. All one needs to do is to take action, no matter how small, toward that ultimate goal with consistent effort. You just do your things and step aside.
