“When you work you’re a flute through whose heart the whispering of the hours turns to music.
To love life through labor is to be intimate with life’s inmost secret.
All work is empty save when there is love, for work is love made visible.”
Every time I read this great excerpt, it reaffirms its significance in my own life. There was a time, you know, that I was unhappy with my work because I wasn’t on purpose, I was not pursuing my life’s mission. When I finally recognized my passion, things began going really well for me.
Lives of great men all remind us
We can make our lives sublime,
And, departing, leave behind us
Footprints on the sands of time.
- Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
What an incredible image; to leave footprints on the sands of time. Put another, to leave a legacy for future generations in the form of thoughts and actions that perhaps guide others to make their lives better. There are no accidents in this universe and the fact that you're reading this is also by design. We are all born to follow our passion and achieve greatness in life.
