What Level Are You At?
There’s a lot of wisdom in this Zen Proverb that we can all benefit from.
"In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities, but in the expert's mind there are few."
I know it’s hard to stay a beginner, but it serves you well if you try. There seems to be a certain stigma associated with being a novice, while being an expert is considered prestigious. Clearly, it’s remarkable to become an expert in any field, but not if you stop learning.
I can tell you with confidence that no one knows it all or has all the answers. Therefore, your success in real estate is directly proportional to your ability to gain knowledge and apply it every chance you get. The nature of life and real estate is so dynamic that if you stay in one place you’re surely losing ground. Remember, there’s no such thing as staying the same. If you’re not going up, then you’re going down for sure!
At our last club meeting, I did a presentation on nonverbal language and how it can affect not only who we’re communicating with, but our own mindset as well. Our posture (body language) tells others who we are and what we’re about. Moreover, it affects our own nervous system and determines our success or failure in any given situation. I have some tools that can help you more with this, so leave a comment below if you're interested.
It's our pleasure to present you with a link to our last club meeting, ordinarily reserved for our VIP Members only. In this video, I demonstrate how your body posture can affect both your mood and mindset. In the second session, Dimitriy explained the benefits of using your self directed IRAs for real estate investing. Great stuff!!
