Animals have no doubts because they have no minds (ego). A cat does what a cat is supposed to do without any judgments or considerations. It chases a mouse and if unsuccessful it pursues another option to feed itself. Have you ever seen a cat, or any other animal for that matter, to put its paw on its head saying "you're such a bad cat because you couldn't even catch a mouse?"
In our last meeting I spoke about four components of success and happiness.
Many people wrote or called thanking me and asked if I could write about and elaborate more on this topic. The idea was crystallized in my mind a few weeks ago prompting me to present that in our last meeting when Mr. Bruce Norris was our guest speaker. Perhaps he had something to do with all that. As usual, he was enlightening. For those who have not yet heard his presentation, I highly recommend it. Just visit our website www.ncrei.com and download his talk. It won’t be there much longer, so take advantage of it now.
One thing is for certain. Pleasure is not happiness. Pleasure comes from outside whereas happiness comes from inside. Pleasure is ephemeral and happiness is enduring. Just look at the trees, look at the birds, look at the clouds, look at the stars….and if you have eyes you will be able to see that the whole of existence is joyful. Everything is simply happy. Trees are happy for no reason; they are not going to become prime ministers or presidents and they are not going to become rich and they will never have any bank accounts! Look at flowers - for no reason. It's simply unbelievable how happy flowers are.
