As Emerson once said, the ancestor to every action is a thought. We have also heard, as we think so we shall become. Or you become what you think about all day long. All these expressions and countless many others indicate that the first element needed for success is right thinking.
If thoughts are the precursor to actions, it is our words that act as the bridge between them. How we speak to ourselves and to others is of critical importance. It is essential to have harmony between our thoughts, words and actions. If you think one thing, speak contradictory to those thoughts, and do something different, you will never succeed or be happy. You may fool others (or yourself) in the short term but in the long term your life will never be truly fulfilling. Even if you do all right financially, you'll be a mental, emotional and spiritual wreck!
This is the true joy in life: The being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one. The being a force of nature, instead of a feverish, selfish little clod of ailments and grievances complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy. I am of the opinion that my life belongs to the whole community, and as long as I live, it is my privilege to do for it whatever I can.
